Retailer to Ethical Hacker - The (on-going) Journey

The question many ask is why ....?

Obviously I first tell them my background, from a young age I have worked in retail and wholesale and then after 15 years or so, to change to completely new path was a daunting experience. But I did because I wanted a change. My first love was a computer (HA!), I remember the nostalgic ringing of connecting to the internet to access the world wide web, I taught myself how to take computers apart, how to build them up, how to program in HTML. From a young age I have always been fascinated by computers.

I gained my MCP and MCSE (Microsoft Certifications) at turn of the millennium, but did not pursue it any further as I joined the family retail business. Then around 2018, I wanted to pursue my dreams and got the ball rolling by opting to study for the Cisco CCENT, it was during this time as I was idling about on Google, I came across a course offered by the EC-Council (CEH v10). Thus what began my long journey into the world of cyber security and ethical hacking and now as a mature student at a fantastic university, my interest and skills in ethical hacking have exponentially grown.

A big shout out to: (invaluable learning educational resources which have helped me to get to this level)
